Alcedonia

Non-objective paintings in blue #7 by Dawn O'Connell-Forte

I love that new hit single by Kelly Clarkson titled Stronger the colors for that song would be very fiery and red.  My Alcedonia series in blue is the tranquility that your aquire from growing stronger.

Cupido~Yellow #3

Very interesting to note that colors have many symbolic meanings, yellow being hope, excitement, energy and joy.

Cupido~Yellow Series #2

I had to go two weeks without my laptop computer when my screen cracked, not sure how I managed that now I "handle with care".  I am so glad to get back to blogging and recording my paintings.  This is my new set of colors in yellow, I am contemplating a title for the series.  They are all done with acrylic paint which lends itself to fast drying time.  I do want to try this style with the oil paints.  Very lush and these paintings add great color to any space.
